Guolin Zhang (she/her/hers) is a second-year Counseling Psychology doctoral student at Ball State University. She was born in China and completed her undergraduate studies in China and in the U.K. in psychology and completed her master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Boston College. Guolin focused her research interests on the internationalization and indigenization of psychology, multiculturalism, training and supervision for therapists of color, and counseling efficiency with international students. Guolin is currently a member of the APA, the APA Division 17, and the APA Division 52 Student Committee. Guolin is also one of the 2023 Emerging Leaders for the APA Global Psychology Learning Leadership Institute and is now working on her capstone project on understanding the concept of emotion suppression for Chinese individuals.
