Description

The APA Convention Registration Scholarship for International Students provides a scholarship for registration costs (only) to the annual APA Convention to student non-members of APA and/or Division 52. This is a needs-based scholarship for students who otherwise would not be able to register for the convention. The goal is to promote international student access and engagement in the annual APA Convention and in the convention activities of APA Division 52.

Note: The scholarship will cover registration only for either the in-person cost or virtual cost, depending on the format of the convention. Travel and accommodations are not covered by the scholarship.

Division 52 will offer up to two International Student APA Convention Registration Scholarships for the 2022 APA Convention, dedicated to international students studying in the U.S. or students living outside of the United States.

Eligibility

All applicants must be an international psychology student in the U.S. or a psychology student outside of the U.S. who is not a member of APA or of APA Division 52. Students at any degree level are encouraged to apply.

Scholarship recipients will be selected based on the content of an online application, including the applicant’s biosketch (or biography) and responses to two questions about what they hope to gain from attending Convention and how it will further their professional development (written, video, art, etc.).

Note: English proficiency is not a factor in determining scholarship recipients.

Deadline: June 1, 2024
