Alejandro Arnaldo Barroso Martínez, PhD.
Alejandro was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1986. He graduated with honors in Psychology from the University of Havana, achieving the highest score in his class in 2010. In 2012, he earned a Master’s degree, and in 2018, a Ph.D. with honors from the Metropolitan Autonomous University, in Mexico City. His expertise is in Community Mental Health. For the past 10 years, he has focused on preventing Bullying and Suicidal Behavior in rural communities in the United States, Mexico, and Chile. He is passionate about promoting Mental Health and working directly with adolescents and families. He has received scholarships from the German Heinrich Böll Foundation, the Mexican National Council for Humanities, Science, and Technology, and the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO). Currently, he is a professor of Emotional Intelligence applied to medical education at the School of Medicine at the University of Valparaíso, Chile.
