Caterina Arcidiacono is a Psychologist and Jungian psychoanalyst. Full professor in community psychology at the University Federico II, Naples. Since 2001, scholar and director (2011-2013) of the PhD course on women and gender studies at the University Federico II. She is the director at the board of directors of the European  Federation of Psychologists Association (2023-2027). She organized and participated in international conferences on women’s issues and organized the first Italian scientific conference on Women and Gender Identity in 1990 in Naples. In the ’70, she co-founded the feminist self-help group in Rome. Her peculiar research area concerns the woman-man relationship, with special reference to gender asymmetry, migration, and intercultural dialogue. Migration, intercultural issues, and a critical approach to community psychology, with reference to grounded theory and qualitative research, are her further research domains.
