Madeline Stenersen is currently an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri, USA and a founding member of the up! Collective, an international collective of social researchers focused on anti-violence and exploitation. Dr. Stenersen completed her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Memphis and her postdoctoral fellowship at Yale School of Medicine in the Division of Prevention and Community Research. Her work is done in collaboration with organizations around the world focused on anti-exploitation and violence and she has a particular expertise in working with organizations to build non-intrusive measurement and evaluation strategies for program improvement and funding. Most recently, Dr. Stenersen’s work has included 1) mapping the landscape of online sexual exploitation among boys and gender diverse youth in Northern Thailand and 2) working with anti-trafficking and sex work advocacy organizations to develop sex worker-led policy recommendations for anti-trafficking efforts worldwide
