Eric Youngstrom, PhD, is the Director of the Institute for Mental and Behavioral Health Research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and the DiMarco Family Endowed Professor of Psychiatry at The Ohio State University. He and his wife also have taught at Korea University in Seoul since 2009. He has done hundreds of talks about clinical assessment and open science nationally and internationally, also publishing extensively on these topics. Eric is a licensed psychologist, a teacher, Fellow of Divisions 52, 53, 5, and 12, Past-President of Divisions 5 & 53 of APA, and a parent of two daughters who now talented young women in STEM. He married another psychologist (a freshman year romance!) who has been his partner throughout his professional journey. He is passionate about bringing the best information to the people who would benefit. This focus has transformed his teaching and research, earning teaching and mentorship awards as he has helped students from two dozen countries gain research experience. He is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Helping Give Away Psychological Science (HGAPS).
