Professional title for a Practicing Psychologist: There are six areas of specialization in psychology, which are under the responsibility and supervision of the Ministry of Health.

The board of psychologists in the Ministry of Health is responsible for the process of training specialists in the above areas of specialization.

The process of obtaining a license to practice psychology and registration in the “Registry of Psychologists” includes the following steps: 1. Submission of an application by the candidate, with the required documents attached 2. Assessment of the candidate’s eligibility by the board of registration 3. Temporary license (in some of the cases – see details below) 4. Permanent license For persons who have completed a master’s degree or higher overseas, it is recommended to read the “Conditions for Registration in the Registry of Psychologists for Students who Studied Overseas“. NOTE The conditions required to license registrations for international psychology masters’ graduates, have been updated for those who begin their master’s degree studies in psychology abroad as of September 2021.
