Position Description and Tasks
Name of Position: Chair, International Committee for Women (ICFW)
Term of appointment: The Chair is appointed by the President for a term of three (3) years
Tasks of the Position
- Chair the International Committee for Women
- Monitor and manage the ICfW listserv
- Disseminate information through the Div52 discuss listserv and Div52 Announce listserv on a regular basis
- Convene quarterly meetings of the ICFW committee
- Take minutes of the ICFQW meetings
- Convene Convention activities for the ICFW
- Provide reports to the VP for INitiatives on activities of the ICFW
- Attend Division Board Meetings and the Div52 business meeting at the APA convention
- Collaborate with the Div 52 Denmark Reuder Award (award for feminist research) Chair to promote and encourage nominations for this award
Timeline
January
- Review the ICFW listserv
- Send a message to the ICFW listserv with date of first meeting of the year
- Send a message to the Division 52 Announce listserv describing the ICFW and inviting Division members to join
February
- Attend the Division Mid Winter meeting (via ZOOM)
- Set time for first meeting and send invitations via the ICFW listserv
March
- Hold ICFw meeting
- Develop plans for ICFW activities at convention
- Develop plan for ICFW activities for the year
April
May
June
- Hold ICFW meeting
- Coordinate with Convention chairs to arrange for ICFW activities / meeting at Convention
July
August
- Hold ICFW activities at convention
September
