Reciprocity of Licenses:

Yes. You have to prove experience in practice and validate your diploma.

This procedure in Portugal includes countries from outside the EU; as a professional psychologist from the EU, you can get a European Certificate that allows you to practice (in your field of speciality) in any European country and it has to be renewed from time to time. I’ve attached mine so you can see. But for psychologists from outside Europe, you have to validate your diploma (in Portugal it means your university degree in psychology plus a Master’s degree, that is needed to practice) and then get the registration on OPP (Portugal Psychologists Board), once you can demonstrate at least 3 years of professional experience. That’s what I’ve done, because I am originally from Brazil and got my degrees and first 15 years of experience there.

Registration on OPP is mandatory for all psychologists, even those from the EU.
